[She's not sure how good a liar she is, since she so rarely does it, out of principle. But she's flat out lying here-- she's been rereading the series since talking to James and the books are hidden in her room. She switched out the covers with covers of other books, stuck them under her bed, and put a bunch of empty cardboard boxes in front of them.
...Not the best place, but in all honesty she doesn't really expect the kids'll go looking in her room. Not if she's a good enough liar, anyway.]
